Dendrobium Super Ise ‘Split Personality’ AM/AOSVisitors at the Arts & Crafts show the weekend of June 20-22 will behold a rare site as the South Carolina Orchid Society presents an exhibition in conjunction with the Festival of Flowers. The stage at Northside Middle School will be transformed into a tropical paradise dripping with hundreds of living orchid blooms in a naturalistic setting.

In 2007, orchid plants topped the list of best sellers among potted plants, replacing the poinsettia which had held the position for more than 30 years. With devotees like Martha Stewart, the Phalaenopsis or Moth Orchid has become the poster flower for gracious living.

Orchid flower forms range from beautiful, to whimsical, to downright bizarre, and live orchid flowers have fragrances to rival the most expensive perfume. In addition to their beauty, Phals are noted for long bloom time and easy care.
