2010 Photography Exhibition & Contest

 THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR 2010 PARICIPANTS. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL AT THE AWARDS CEREMONY AT 6:00PM ON JUNE 25TH, 2010 AT THE ARTS CENTER / FEDERAL BUILDING.

The largest summer Photography Exhibit in the state is held at the Festival to promote an interest in and appreciation for photography.

A Change to the Advanced Category are the newThemes for participants to shoot for specifically:

COLOR: TRANSFORMATION
BLACK & WHITE: IDENTITY
We encourage all participants to take their own personal approach to these themes. It is our intention that the new change will create a unified exhibit and a challenge for participants. Cash prizes totaling $2,575 will be awarded to winning entries.
Entry forms and brochures are available via the above link and at the Greenwood, S.C. Chamber of Commerce, The Arts Council at the Federal Building.

Location:  Calhoun Mays Reception Hall at The Arts Center (The Federal Building on Main Street Greenwood, SC)

About the Juror | POLLY GAILLARD

MFA, Vermont College of Fine Art

Polly Gaillard has exhibited her photographs nationally. She has received both national and regional grants to pursue various photographic series. Her photographs comment on topics like motherhood, marriage, adolescent girls, and other current women’s issues. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Visual Arts from Vermont College of Fine Art. Polly teaches photography at Anderson University in South Carolina. She was invited to participate in the Santa Fe Review in June of 2009 in Sante Fe, NM. Most recently she won first place from juror Jamie Lee Curtis for the international exhibition “Childhood” sponsored by the Texas Photographic Society. A collection of Polly’s work will be on display at the Festival Exhibit.
