The Greenwood EAA Chapter 1023 has had to cancel its planned Young Eagles Flying day previously planned for June 14 at the Greenwood County Airport. Coordinators were unable to obtain an adequate number of volunteer pilots and airplanes to handle the usually well-attended event which is normally held every year on a Saturday during the Festival of Flowers. The chapter is hoping to organize a similar event in the fall.
